We are sorry to announce that our portrait sessions with photographer Christopher Vigliotti have been postponed until further notice. But we’re happy to note that the reason is because of Christopher’s busy schedule this fall and winter- his success has made commiting to First Fridays at the store impossible for now.

We hope to see you in Brunswick on November 2 for the town’s annual Veteran’s Day Parade. Opening ceremonies commence at 1, and the parade starts at 2. 

November’s First Friday theme is “Taste of the Town.”  We hope you’ll join us for kid and adult treats on November 7 from 5-9.

This weekend should be a gorgeous couple of days to visit Brunswick during its heritage celebration weekend.  Friday is the city’s First Friday, so Pixie Dust will be open until 9, and local photographer Christopher Vigliotti will return to take free children’s portraits.  To complement the theme of “Heritage Days,” we’ll have an antique toy ride-on train as a prop for the photos. 

 

On Saturday and Sunday, Pixie Dust will be open for extended hours as part of the city’s Railroad Days celebration.  Store artists Skip Virgilio (Flights of Fancy tin airplanes), Sandra Sherbinko (one-of-a-kind jewelry), and Alyssa Adams (Lollipop Lane hair accessories) will be outside the shop, along with other crafters, artists, and vendors along Potomac Street. 

 

This weekend is a great time to get outfitted for Halloween!  We still have plenty of costumes to choose from in sizes 3-month to 14. 

 

Celebrating a birthday in October?  We’ll be sending October birthday coupons out later today.  Use them this weekend (or anytime this month) for $5 off any purchase of $25 or more!  If you haven’t signed up for birthday coupons, send us your children’s names and birthdates to start receiving them. 

 

Pixie Dust has expanded!  We’ve added over 24 linear feet of clothing racks by opening up the former storage room as retail space- that’s a big closet!  Our toys and books have also moved; come check out our new store space!

 

We added eight NEW consigners in September, and had many of you return as consigners with fall and winter clothing, too.  We’ve recently added to nearly all of our sizes in both boys and girls, particularly in sizes 3-month to 8.  Our coats are out now, too (when we opened up the storage room, we couldn’t wait on putting them on the racks any longer!).

The third quarter ended this week, so we’ll be writing checks for any account with $5 or more.  Checks will be ready for pick up by NEXT weekend, though we’ll try to get them done by Saturday. If we have a self-addressed, stamped envelope from you, your check will arrive by the 15th.  Spend your check at Pixie Dust and receive 10% off your entire purchase!

 

Pixie Dust was once a pharmacy!  The original pharmicist’s son came in a few weeks ago with his adult daughter- they were both happy to see the space housing a happy business.  If there were more room in here, we’d put a soda counter back in place!
